The cable car route which is the shortest and steepest in the world takes the visitors 70 meters down at a 60 degrees angle. The view from the cable car is nothing but magnificent!
The Grottos – A Ravishing Natural Phenomenon
A short walk at the heart of the cliff reveals the grottos which are actually marine caves. The grottos were created following a series of subterranean tremors which cracked the rock. Rainwater flowing through these cracks and the gushing sea waves created this natural phenomenon, unique in Israel!

The pits are a geological result of a process lasting hundreds and thousands of years. It started with a chain of underground shocks that opened cracks in the rock. The rainwater penetrated the cracks that had opened, eroding the rock. This created marine caves and caverns within them that continued to expand due to the sea waves bursting into the cracks with foam. Their presence continues the work of expansion, grinding the rock and carving shapes into it
